This was the best show MTV ever did, when it was hosted by Dave Kendall & Kevin Seal. Lewis Largent & Matt Pinfield are the devil. |
I loved this show, I really did. In the 80's, it was one of the only ways that a alternahomo in west central Georgia could find out about new music and relish the cult classics. Plus, it didn't come on until midnight, so it went along with my nocturnal antics. I'd put on a pot of coffee around 11PM, watch The Young Ones, chain smoke my brains out, and relish the video yumminess of the days when I could actually stand to watch MTV.
For some reason or other, I've been very nostalgic for this stuff. No idea why, but there you have it.
Another show called Cutting Edge sort of replaced 120 Minutes, but it wasn't the same. I was thinking about the show and decided I'd make a post of videos I used to love seeing on the show.
Behind the cut are LOTS of good videos.
