Awake...

The phone rang a little while ago. I had just gotten to sleep too. It was Grandmommy - Cole woke up having an attack of Croupe and "Couldn't bweeve..." so I woke Maggie up and she talked to him and calmed him a bit. Grandmommy put him in the bathroom with the shower on hot to create steam for him to breathe and that helped. They called back a few minutes later to say that he was okay and we didn't have to come get him, but I'm already awake and ready to grab keys and head out the door so I figured I'd type away for a bit until I got tired again enough to try to lie down for the night.

I knew it was going to happen, too - my throat is a bit sore and my sinuses are getting all screwy. Anytime Maggie gets a bug I end up with it and vice versa. Oh well, what can you do, you know? I'm taking precautionary echinacea and vitamin c - not much more I can do when you get down to it.

Got some funnies in my email from Damien, figured I'd pass them along for you guys. Check out

Got some funnies in my email from Damien, figured I'd pass them along for you guys. Check out <a href="http://www.bestcreatives.com/MadCow.html"<b>The Mad Cow</b></a> and <a href="http://media.smilepop.com/smilepop/flash/10_2002/sept02-smilepop-bugseren2.swf"<b>The Singing Bug</b></a>. They both made me laugh, especially the cow.

We saw the movie <a href="http://ghostshipmovie.warnerbros.com/trailer.html"<b>Ghost Ship</b></a> earlier this evening. Kinda hokey, kinda cheesy, but then almost all movies are these days. The first 5 minutes of it absolutely freaked me out, and I'm pretty unshakable. Totally had my stomach flipping. It's worth seeing, if for no other reason than the fact that both Gabriel Byrne and Desmond Harrington are in it.

I encourage you all to patronize McAlister's Deli. That place rocks balls. The food is excellent, the restaurant is always immaculate, and the staff are always beyond polite. We went earlier to get take out and they forgot to put Damien's dessert in the bag. I wasn't the least bit mad, but I called back up there to let them know I'd be coming back to pick it up. When I walked in and told them who I was, practically every employee there apologized to me - then the manager came and gave me the dessert PLUS an extra one, and two cards for lunch on him. I was completely blown away and very grateful. Trust me, the dessert (Chocolate spoon cake) was well worth the extra trip!

Ugh...... I'm dog (and cat) tired but not sleepy and beginning to feel like four sacks of poo with a side of smashed bungholes. ::ponders:: Where do I get these things? I might make some tea in a bit, I really want a cup of decaf coffee but don't feel like going through the hassle of brewing it. With the tea I can just throw a cup in the microwave and in two minutes..... <b><i>BAM!!</i></b> Matter of fact, I'm going to do that now...

MMMMM... Black Cherry & Hibiscus tea in 5 minutes. Too bad I'm out of Chamomile, because that's what I really want. Sweet Dreams I think it's called. By Bigelow? I feel a Google search coming on!... Yup, that's it. I'd love it if right now a thunderstorm would just pop up for the rest of the night - light thunder and lightning - and a steady fire were going in the fireplace. Maybe if I think about that long enough while sipping my tea I'll get sleepy.

This stuff is <i>SOOOOO</i> yummy to me right now, you have no idea!
