I've said before that I have a serious issue with this 'surge' of troops that Bush plans to send to Iraq - and now I hear that he's been here for the entire day, maybe 10 minutes away from where I'm typing this, just down the road at Fort Benning - talking to the very people he's sending to a no-win situation. I wonder how many soldiers I know are going to be deployed, and how many families I know that will be left in their wake. Several live here at the lofts, on our floor even.
I wonder how many of the soldier's faces Bush saw today will remembered by him when they come back home in flag draped coffins.
My stomach is in knots now. Can't tell if I want to scream, vomit, or just cry.
