Tomorrow I'll take pictures and/or make a videopost of the loft, we've added more furniture and some swank rugs and such. Those of you who already made plans to visit are going to be mad with envy - if I do say so myself we live in a fantastic and gorgeous space. Now with the new acquisitions, it's a completely relaxed and comfy place. I am sitting in the living room as I type this, D is asleep, and I'm looking around and am amazed and happy at what a beautiful, safe, energizing home I share with him.
I've got a little way to go getting over this depression thing, and am getting perspective and solace from the fantastic family and friends I have. There's a lot going on that I have yet to get a handle on, but I'm learning. Tomorrow I'm also posting some stuff I'd written in a paper journal, stuff that can be tagged as life's instructions. I might actually finish it completely and call it "If Everyone Would JUST Listen To Me, Things Would Work Just Fine."
Alas, you can only give someone the right tools and advice they need to fix their lives when things get broken, but you have to leave it there. People can and will take all of those tools and advice, put them in a box and throw that box in the bottom of the closet. Hard lesson, but one that we all have t olearn at some point or another.
Finally, a very Happy Birthday to my little boy, my sweet Cole-Man, who on this day turned 10 years old. Hard to imagine it, he's now a ten-ager. Going on 17, of course.
