Friday afternoon was spent going all over town looking for supplies for D's aquarium, which is now set up and beautiful. On an excursion to Petland, I got to hold and play with the most adorable pug puppy, who was feisty and rambunctious as all hell. Anyone that knows me knows that I adore pugs, they are my favorite breed of dog. Lilly(pictures: 1,2, & 3) was the best dog ever, I miss her. This puppy was also crazy hyper, so we named him "Tweak". If both of us were in a different place in this relationship, where we were ready to adopt children, he'd be the one. Well, and the $$$ it would have taken to get him, but don't get me started. Friday night I had dinner from my favorite Korean restaurant (remember this?) Only beef that has been rimmed to perfection, 'cause there's nothing to rim on a twinkie! I digress... This has put me on a new quest, only I hope provides fruitful. I am going to make kimchi, and I'm going to ask my Korean friend to show me how. She said she would already, but I'm finally going to take her up on it. I'm going to take pictures of the progress, so that the subsequent recipe post on how it's done will be better. I could eat this stuff everyday. It is even purported to be a preventative of both SARS and Avian flu, so that's also good.
Very relaxing weekend, all in all. I've had my morning coffee, and it was good. I read a tremendous post from
BIG thanks go out to Rob for the recent movie acquisition, I'll reciprocate ASAP. Email me your address and I'll send you some cd-roms of good stuff in return, it'll be easier and I can send more that way.
Upcoming posts:
- New video post, it's been a long time since I made one.
- Recipe post, featuring some of my favorite Korean (bulgogi, kimchi, kimchi pancakes & chili/soy/sesame/rice vinegar dipping sauce) and Thai (larb gai, cucumber salad) yummies for the epicurean gastronomes on my friends list.
- Music post, if I can come up with a good theme before next weekend. I'm seriously thinking 80's, but not the stuff you'd find on a "K-Tel Presents: Totally Tubular 80's" Best Of the 80's compilation cd. If you have any recommendations, please to be commenting.
