I'm getting bitten by the photography/art bug repeatedly, just in time for Fall to really hit in full swing. I had a revelation last night while listening to Glósóli, Sœglópur, Hoppípolla, and Popplagið by my beloved Sigur Rós and felt that long absent flood come over me. I had rapid visions of images and artwork that I wanted to bring to fruition and execute instead of having it stuck inside my head. Imagine being a woman in labor, and the baby is ready to come no matter what you're doing - same thing here. Look for that to come soon. So I thought about it, and it occured to me that I need to make a music post of the songs that inspire me to create. Music that moves me to places I can hardly describe. Eclectic stuff that I wonder if anyone besides me even knows about half the time. So look for that later as well.
I woke up kind of numbed out, and I'm not really sure what that is about yet. I slept for shit, but what else is new. I'm also feeling the urge to get the hell out of town for a bit, I think D and I are going to go hiking this weekend in Providence Canyon. This is the best time of year for that sort of thing in these parts anyway. Can I also just say that Halloween is my favorite holiday, and yet this year I've got complete Halloween apathy? Yeah, sad.
And speaking of being inspired by Sigur Rós, if you haven't seen the video yet for Glósóli, then by all means watch it now! It brought a huge grin and teary eyes to me the first time I saw it.
