Christian Alliance For Progress - go over this site with a fine toothed comb, it is excellent. I got teary eyed reading most of it. Thanks to city_of_dis for the link!

This reminds me of Catholics For Free Choice. Very refreshing. Thanks for sharing it.

This is wonderful. I'm glad there's a group like this out there. Hopefully they get the word out and more Christians who feel as they do join them.

I loved what I saw of this site. I didn't get to go through it with a fine tooth comb, since I'm in Rochester yet using a computer at the hotel, but I'll definitely read it all when we get home.

I am Catholic, and Christian and my belief on how to live, has always been the most important commandment "Love one another as I have loved you." I live this as my Mom taught me. It was so important to both of us that I had inscribed on her grave stone.

It bothers me so much that people use God's name as a weapon of hatred, bigotry, and prejudice. I feel many people turn away from God because of the "Christians" that use his word to promote their own prejudices and moral beliefs. How can you listen to a person speak the "word of God" when they're beating you with their Bible?"

I am so happy to see there are more Christians that really believe that Christ said Love One Another, period. Not love one another but only IF they fit whatever mold you happen to believe is right.

Maybe this will open up a avenue for people to be proud to be Christian again. Because frankly, I was hesitant to say I was Christian these days, not because I'm ashamed of it, but because I didn't want to be lumped in with the one's who interperted the Bible and God's words to justify their anything but Christ like behavior.

Thanks for sharing!

I think I may be interested.

I'm a pretty 'progressive' Christian.
