A PERFECT CIRCLE: 'aMOTION' CD/DVD Details Revealed - Sep. 23, 2004
A PERFECT CIRCLE have set a November 16 release date through Virgin for "aMOTION", a special CD/DVD package featuring remixes and the group's classic videos.

The double-disc "aMOTION" is being described as "the ultimate A PERFECT CIRCLE fan piece," featuring nine remixes of such A PERFECT CIRCLE favorites as "3 Libras", "The Outsider" and "Weak And Powerless", retooled by such artists as MASSIVE ATTACK, Danny Lohner, and A PERFECT CIRCLE's own James Iha. The set's DVD content gathers together unexpurgated versions of A PERFECT CIRCLE's amazing video output, including "Judith", "Thinking Of You", and the animated video for "Counting Bodies Like Sheep To The Rhythm Of the War Drums". Also featured is a stunning live take on "The Noose", along with a brand-new video for "Blue", directed by Joseph Perez, who won the opportunity to helm the clip via an online contest held on As if that weren't enough, the "aMOTION" DVD includes the three "Blue" runner-up videos, exclusive commentary, a trio of trailers for the cult film series, "Bikini Bandits", and a photo and video gallery by A PERFECT CIRCLE guitarist Billy Howerdel.

As previously reported, A PERFECT CIRCLE will release their new album, "eMOTIVe", on November 2 — Election Day. Described by A PERFECT CIRCLE leader Maynard James Keenan as "a collection of songs about war, peace, love and greed," the set blends all-new original material with a provocative selection of cover versions. Among the revolutionary-minded classics reinterpreted on "eMOTIVe" are JOHN LENNON's "Imagine", MARVIN GAYE's "What's Going On", MEMPHIS MINNIE's blues stomper "When The Levee Breaks" (made famous by LED ZEPPELIN), DEPECHE MODE's "People Are People", DEVO's "Freedom Of Choice", BLACK FLAG's "Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie", FEAR's "Let's Have A War", JONI MITCHELL's "Fiddle And The Drum", and the Nick Lowe (by way of Elvis Costello) anti-anthem, "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love And Understanding". The album kicks off with an explosive take on "Annihilation", originally recorded by Berkeley aggro-punk legends CRUCIFIX.

In addition, "eMOTIVe" features a pair of thought-provoking original songs — "Counting Bodies Like Sheep To The Rhythm Of the War Drums" and "Passive". Produced by Billy Howerdel and executive produced by vocalist Maynard James Keenan, the album includes string arrangements by A PERFECT CIRCLE founding member Paz Lenchantin, as well as contributions from NINE INCH NAILS' Danny Lohner and TELEFON TEL AVIV's Josh Eustis. "eMOTIVe" is A PERFECT CIRCLE's third full-length release, following 2000's RIAA platinum-certified "Mer De Noms", and 2003's platinum-selling "Thirteenth Step".

Oh, to be a fly on the wall when some fucks folks see this...

In closing, I offer a really funny joke from my friend charliekeenjr.

Little David was in 4th grade when the teacher asked the children what their fathers did for a living. All the typical answers came up - fireman, policeman, salesman, doctor, lawyer, etc. David was being uncharacteristically quiet so the teacher asked him about his father.David's reply was this: "My father's an exotic dancer in a gay cabaret and takes off his clothes in front of other men and they put money in his underwear. Sometimes if the offer is really good he goes home with some guy and they do stuff that I'm not supposed to know about." The teacher obviously shaken by this statement, hurriedly set the other children to work on another project while she took little David aside to ask him, "Is that really true about your father?" "No," said David, "he works for the Republican National Committee to re-elect Bush, but I was too embarrassed to say that in front of the other kids..."
