Subject: Stop Anti-Gay Constitutional Amendment

HRC is sending this action alert
in partnership with Georgia

Please contact your state senator today and urge him or her to oppose the Georgia Marriage Constitutional Amendment. Just click here:

This week the Georgia Senate bypassed normal procedure and instead of assigning SR 595, the Georgia Marriage Constitutional Amendment, to the Judiciary Committee, it was sent to the Rules Committee. The Senate Rules Committee may not even have a hearing on the legislation but just vote it out of committee. This means that the full Senate could vote on the resolution on Friday.

We need you to act now by contacting your Senator and letting him or her know that you oppose this legislation. We also need you to come to the State Capitol this Friday to show the Georgia Senate that we will not stand by and let them enshrine discrimination into the Georgia Constitution.

It’s up to you and your friends and family to put a stop to this discriminatory legislation.

Please take action today at:

Join us tomorrow, Friday, at 9:00 am on the 2nd floor of the State Capitol in the Rotunda. We will be talking to Senators prior to the start of the session.
