This was an awesome read!

I really dig John Warner (R-VA). He's almost always kept true to the sense of ethical responsibility that most conservative Senators (that means you TOO, Joe Lieberman) in the last several years never even acknowledge - that all choices, opinions, and actions taken by those in government be considered and gauged against the Constitution before personal stuff and partisan idealism gets injected and mars it beyond recognition.

Beneath the cut is the full piece, reposted here so that you won't have to go through the WaPo registration if you're not already a member to read it. I do this because I think it is important to recognize our Liberal allies within the GOP. They're the ones with the line to tow, after all.

Especially interesting/important bits are in bold.

"A resolution -- a Senate-passed resolution of disapproval for this new strategy in Iraq -- would give the enemy some encouragement, some feeling that, well, some clear expression that the American people are divided?" Lieberman asked.
