Me & D

Sunday Morning Bliss

So. I'm sitting here with a fresh cup of coffee, and fresh Dunkin Donuts Munchkins (chocolate & blueberry) to share with D. We're both parked on the couch - he's watching somthing-or-other Scf-Fi channel show and I'm reading news. It's gloomy & rainy outside, and I feel very content and happy right now. This is just what we both needed.

ATTENTION!!

Okay. I tried linking to g_e_o_r_g_e's LJ for this, but I decided it merited posting here. I'm not much on showtunes and such, but this is different.

First, here's a clip of the 1982 Tony awards when part of the Dreamgirls cast performed onstage, including Jennifer Holliday doing "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going". I love hearing a big ol' black girl hollering, so I love that song.

Now for the ass-kicker. Apparently there is a reality show called America's Got Talent or some such. I don't watch it, because I don't watch a whole lot of TV anyway. This clip though kind of knocked me on my ass. It's a little red haired, lily white 11 year old girl belting out the same song. She rocks BALLS!!

Gloomy Sunday

Here's what woke me up this morning. I'm in the process of waking up, and I feel my pajama bottoms (which I did not sleep in) getting pulled over my feet, and my feet hoisted into the air while the pajamas are being slid up my legs. I did not move at all, I let him try to dress me - then I asked:
jesus_h_biscuit: Are we playing funeral director or something?
thedigitalghost: No - Barbies...
This is what we're like most of the time, BTW. Waking up laughing - there's nothing better.

So we get up, go get coffee & Dunkin Donuts munchkins (chocolate & blueberry), then come back to the loft for breakfast. Spent some time being lazy, then I ventured out to the grocery store for some dinner supplies, then to the sex store for poppers and.... acoutrements.... and lunch before coming back to the loft, where I am at present watching War Of Teh Worlds and eating Sour Patch Kids. My tongue feels kinda hurty now, go figure.

Hello to my friends that I met at Starship and showed interest in my blogging. The rain stopped (goddamnit!!) and now we're just being lazy until I take the initiative to start on dinner.

I love lazy Sundays.
