Me & D

On love and why I am the luckiest man alive.

Because I've had a crap week, I'm in an emotional shootout, and all I can think as he's lying across the room from me in bed - snoring away - is that he makes everything better, no matter what it is - just by loving me and smashing down my defenses.

I love you, Damien. Wholly and completely. If this were a weekend and you didn't have to get up so early, I would wake you up right now just to kiss you and hold you and remind you that as long as I live, I will only ever feel this way about you and you alone.

No one is as magic as you, I'm proud of what we are and how you make me want to be a better man. I'm watching you sleep, and you're so beautiful I can hardly breathe or understand why you love me as much as you do.

You are, simply, the best thing that ever happened to me. I am so completely honored by you and all the gifts you bring to my life. You've made up for where so many before have lacked and then some.

I adore you, my sweet, gorgeous, amazing baby. And for the rest of our lives, it is you and me against the world.

Ah, Murder Ballads...

"It ain't that in their hearts they're bad
They can comfort you, some even try
They nurse you when you're ill of health
They bury you when you go and die
It ain't that in their hearts they're bad
They'd stick by you if they could
But that's just bullshit
People just ain't no good

People they ain't no good
People they ain't no good
People they ain't no good
People they ain't no good at all"

If anyone has this MP3, please send it to me. It is on the Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Boatman's Call album and on the Shrek 2 soundtrack. Thanks in advance.
