...And In The News...

NEW YORK — The University of Maryland is coming under fire for handing out a book that critics say forces pro-homosexual propaganda on its students.

WASHINGTON — A few hours after Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle left the White House pledging cooperation on Iraq, he used the Senate floor to launch his own attack on what he called President Bush's "atrocious" economic record.

WASHINGTON, DC—Vowing to "exact justice for the taking of innocent American lives," a determined and defiant President Bush deployed more than 14,000 ground troops to the West Nile Monday.

I'm in the process of compiling some CD's for a friend of mine, John, in Newport News VA. He introduced me to Jeff Buckley and in a conversation last night (while comparing what we've each ammassed in our respective Buckley collections), he kept saying to me "You have WHAT??? I've never even heard of such a thing, let alone knew it existed!" I even have a copy of the very first song he ever sang live in New York, and oddly enough it is a cover of "I Never Asked To Be Your Mountain"... by Tim Buckley... ::twitch::

Looking forward to biking this evening, I need to spend more time outdoors. I'm still eagerly awaiting the arrival of Fall - but I'm thinking I have more summer heat to endure first. I'm just about sick of this heat, man.

I need to make some t-shirts soon. I cannot find a good Buckley shirt anywhere in Atlanta, and I have ideas for a few. I also want to make some clever bumper-sticker-saying shirts and some for Damien, maybe some Maya shirts and some astronomy somethingsorother...

Goddamnit I hate allergies! I had an allergy attack last night about an hour before bed and took TWO Benadryl's, and my allergies laughed at them - scoffed, even. I woke up this morning to a nose that said to me "I swear I hate you..."
I replied "Oh YEAH? Well if you weren't attatched to my face, I'd kick your nostril!"

I wished it would rain. Like hell. All day. Until this evening when we go biking.
