Very cold day, supposed to be like 19° tonight and snow flurries or something. We're going to have dinner at Mellow Mushroom tonight as Frank & Rhonda are leaving soon for New Mexico and it will be a chance for us to all get together. That and we love the pizza there. The Kosmic Karma pizza kicks 15 different kinds of booty!

Feeling pretty alright today, it's very quiet here with the baby sleeping (she konked out about 15 minutes ago) and nothing else going on. Planning on making some new stuff for dinner on Sunday, will post recipes in the recipe journals for those of you interested. There are some great ones out there, look in my user info under "Member Of" for some of the recipe/cooking communities.

I'm planning on at least one picture outing this weekend with the family, I have to get those pictures of Tina and Damien finished. Have a great day all, be careful and safe this weekend!

Sometime tomorrow, let's try to make a plan and a time. Ask Tina what a good time is for her when you guys go to dinner, Damien & I will be with my family. Also, please ask your mom about the bed, I would like to get it out of here ASAP, I'm having to barricade it in the office so Avery won't pull it down on top of herself. That girl is into EVERYTHING!

I LOVE to cook. Here's an odd pasta dish I whipped up one day.. IT has no title.. Raspberry Walnut Pasta? I dont know.. ^_^


16 oz. bag of colored garden rotini (or bowties? whatevers your poison)
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
16 oz can of pitted black olives
1 bottle of Ken's Steakhouse Lite Raspberry Walnut Vinaigrette
16 oz can of diced tomatoes with green chiles
about an 1/8 of a cilantro bunch
16 oz bag of Walnut halves

(I dont really cook using #'s or by measurement so whatever you feel is the right amount for taste .. )

Boil the pasta.. while its boiling cut up your veggies (or you can cheat and buy the sliced olives but they taste rubbery to me? so whatever.. you can also use fresh tomatoes and chiles..)
Drain your pasta, rinse in cold water
Throw the pasta in a large deep skillet with the olive oil and reheat/toss
Add the walnut halves.. the whole bag or less up to you
Add the veggies and let it get really soft (mmm the smell of cooking cilantro!!)
Add the whole bottle of raspberry vinaigrette
let it simmer for a few minutes

then EAT! Its good hot or cold.. Its a mix between sweet (raspberry) and spicy (the tomatoes and chiles).. You can add more veggies less veggies... whatever.. Its YUMMY! ^_^ Late ^_^
