LJ Back-up
23rd-Apr-2008 08:46 am
After much frustration, labor, and invaluable help from bubba, I've started my own WordPress blog that I control completely as a means of backing up my LJ posts. This blog means a great deal to me, I've been working on it for 7 years now and I'd be really upset if anything untoward would happen to affect it - not that I anticipate that, I'm just being cautious.

The only problem I'm having at the moment is getting my RSS feeds in working order. I'll work on that later. If anyone has experience with creating & embedding RSS feeds on a personal WordPress blog, I'm all ears, so feel free to comment with suggestions and links.

Congrats! This blog is a wonderful and ever-changing work of art, and I'm glad that you've taken the steps to back it up. While mine is significantly less monumental and is really only a place for me to vent/share some random stuff, I'd like to back mine up, as well. Any chance that you could share how, exactly, you did it?

Also, if no one ends up knowing how to do this RSS thing, one of my LJ friends (emilemily) is a web designer and I'm sure she would love to help if you commented on her most recent entry with a question. Good luck!

Find the URLs for them and put image links on the blog so others can add the feeds, basically.

I just submitted an essay for the vote_smart community on agriculture, if you get a chance to skim over it and approve it. I'm going to go ahead and post it in a couple of other places, just FYI; I am planning to include in my header that I had written it for vote_smart and provide a community link to tell other people about it. (I don't see any reason it wouldn't be approved, but let me know if there is something. I did use one bad word, but honestly, "clusterfuck" is the best way I can think to describe both the commodities and the stock market right now.)

Nice pic, dude! Now, where is that "posterize" function on Photoshop?

For the shirtless one, or the arm stretch one?
