BACK DOOR BOY IN A FRONT DOOR WORLD
OUTSIDE OF SOCIETY - THAT'S WHERE I WANT TO BE
For The Win!

My beloved Damien got me a 2 year subscription to my favorite magazine, Vanity Fair. I've read this magazine as long as I can remember. One of my favorite things is the Letters to the Editor section, because there are always 50% of the letters there I think "Boy, YOU couldn't be further off the mark", and 50% I think "Hey, I don't remember writing that - when did I write that?". Occasionally the editors strike back in a fantastic bitchslap of epic proportions so small and succinct that it requires little embellishment. It's what I've always said before about the truth - it can stand on its own without much fanfare or explanation. This is one of those cases:
I ALWAYS TAKE PLEASURE in reading the Proust Questionnaire, but the introduction to Karl Rove's answers, where he is described as "a principal architect of the disastrous presidency of George W. Bush," seemed a bit over the top. Bush obviously has his detractors; however to characterize his presidency as disastrous without giving better context is unfair.
