Perhaps!

Nice to hear that I'm not the only one who think that's one of the best.

And it's back when Paula Cole was singing backup for him, too.

Indeed!

I'm a Peter Gabriel fanatic - I have his entire discography as well as a lot of rare stuff - live bootlegs, collaborations, b-sides, all sorts of stuff.

Dang, dude, you got awesome taste!!! And this is one of the best performances of it I've seen. I remember when we watched this on payperview, even Paula Cole (whom we had never heard of at the time) impressed us. This was like waaay before she had any hits.

Yup! I love the song she did for the City Of Angels soundtrack, it's called "Feelin' Love". Do you have it?

Nope actually I don't. Thanks for the lead.
23rd-Feb-2008 02:08 am (UTC) - I hope he tours again SOON......
Definitely want to see him in the Bay Area....

The loveliest rock song ever recorded, in my not-so-humble opinion. You're right; it's just perfect.

That and "Solsbury Hill" make my day whenever they come on the radio.

I want "Here Comes The Flood" Played at my memorial service.
23rd-Feb-2008 06:22 am (UTC)
Mmmm . . . that one's nice.

I'd opt for "Solsbury Hill" for myself. It's a joyful sendoff, and as I plan to set aside cash for a big blowout party after my cremation, I want everyone there to leave the service with a grin. And if free booze and food won't do it, Peter Gabriel will have to.

Am I the only one wondering how the entire audience has "synchronized" lighters/light sticks? Awesome effect.
23rd-Feb-2008 05:52 am (UTC)
Those are fans who know that song by heart, I'm betting.

I thought it was going to be Simple Minds' "Waterfront"--but I agree that this is an amazing one. Us is my favorite album by him. . .
23rd-Feb-2008 05:53 am (UTC)
OOOOH - GOOD ONE! And yes, Us is a fantastic album. Hard to say what my favorite is, I think I listen to "So" more than any other. I have everything he's done so far!

December 18, 2001. Key Arena, Seattle. The first concert I ever attended with riverheart, the woman who would become my wife a year later.

The concert had a hard-stop of 11:30pm, so Peter and his retinue could see the midnight opening performance of Lord of the Rings: the Fellowship of the Ring. Riverheart and I saw the 4:00am show.

Perfection...
