So.

I was spending the night at my sister (daisy_down)'s place on Tuesday - it is a regular thing - when she decided to record this small video. You can hear Willow in the background fussing at her toys, and you can see/hear my niece Sara Claire cracking up at me being a flaming homo. For some reason, I began yelling "SPARKLES!!" in a very fey voice, I think it was because of the glitter on the tree ornaments or something. I told SC that when I was being super-ultra-mega-gay, that I added jazz hands to the SPARKLES!! and rainbows would shoot out of my fingertips.

She, of course, was LOVING this. It went on for at least an hour and is now a new running joke.

I love my family.

We'll see you tomorrow, leaving here at 9AM and heading to see Yellow - not sure when D was planning on heading your way, but should we all manage to get it together then I'll see you as well at some point I hope!

Oh please - both of us were there this summer when the house was at its worst - besides, I'll likely be ensconced with Yellow, I get to see her less than I get to see you.

He wanted to be right under me, so Christi put him in the baby's Snugli carrier and then I took over for her while she made dinner - he loved that thing!

And yes, Sara Claire is quite adorable. ;-)

"Sparkles" came up when we were trying to figure out a name for the new puppy.

Sara Claire is still walking around saying it...it's freakin' hysterical.

A small preface... it's 4 in the morning and I'm doing random f*list trolling, since I can't sleep - and I saw this small video. I skipped to you via dubhain.

I loved the little video. It's quite clear that your niece was fit for giggling over your "Sparkles!". What a lovely little holiday moment. That's what family is all about. ^_^

What's it with you and cats????
Made me think of the other night... we normally all pile in the car to look at lights as a family... This year we had a few extra teenagers along who hate their own mom's too much to be at home.

As they were filling up my minivan... I turned to joke with my little Ty and husband by saying "Remember... ACT normal!" As I turned around I saw my Ty with one of those beanie caps on with the flaps (He just got from his brother)... he was perched on Daddy's lap and both were bundled into big fluffy coats. The dog was in his lap, too, looking very satisfied at his status. When I turned around to speak (with "act normal" on my mind) They all three looked at me with this goofy expression I can't even explain. I laughed so hard I almost wet myself. I said... "Nevermind, it's too late!"

You probably had to be there. I'm sure they have my commitment papers all filled out. If not, they probably should!

Love you! CUTIE!!!

That's a puppy, ya goof!!

I love that story, and also that you're surrogate Mom to all these kids who look up to you - we're the same way, and I know as well as you do what a difference it makes in these kids' lives to be that person.

Just more reasons to love you!

I knew you were holding a puppy, GESH!!! I meant that lots of responders seem to have cats who also have reactions to the vid! COOL! You have a feline following!

Sometimes the only thing that keeps me going is knowing that there is ANOTHER side and that teenagehood does END. If I show up on your door step with a gym bag... you'll know I couldn't take it anymore and I needed a little break! I feel it coming!

I love you bunches! Hugs to your D

I'll be waiting for you when you're ready to get away!

BIG LOVE!
