Chris Crocker Gots Some News For fox News

What's sadder than Fox News bashing Mr. Crocker are his fellow fags doing it; and silly me used to think only spiders ate their young.
15th-Sep-2007 10:20 pm (UTC) - Re: Go get them Chris!
Yes, but others aren't bashing him because he's gay, but because he's way over the top emo super angstsykin~

I will say however he's growing on me quite a bit. I'll never like that Spears whine, but I'm starting to really like him.

Faux news deserves a MUCH bigger kick in the balls though.

Yes, they are. Some gay bloggers have done exactly that, because this guy is too faggy for their comfort zone.

Well since you don't provide examples, I can't say 'Ooo yeah way over the line, those bitches' or anything else. I can say what I posted about him was essentially 'Queen, please, and Nair that shit off your face'. It's not because he's too faggy or Queen-y...it's because jesus fucking christ, I'd rag on anyone who ranted about 'poor Brittney Spears'. Yes, leap blindly to the defense of drug addled millionaires who likely will never know or care you exist.

His rant about it, sincere or not, was over the top big time drama queen. I'm sure it was intended to be over the top big time drama queen.

I just find a VAST world of difference between that though, even if some of it might be bitchy 'ooo TOO faggy!' and a major news agency publically mocking this kid.

AND for what? A cheap laugh? He or she? I think it's obvious to anyone with two operating brain cells that Chris is a man. (And I need to find out what eyeliner he uses, my god that stuff is great!).

You or I finding some moron on YouTube out of the sea of insipid assclowns who own video cameras (not that Chris fits that btw) and mocking them would also be a world of difference between someone putting it on a major network as a news story and mocking them.

As a sorta aside, a friend linked an article after I made my 'queen please' comments to an interview with Chris. I had thought his persona was a 'character'. Reading about his reality made me like him quite a bit, and empathize with him tremendously. Yet, I still hold the same opinions about his Spears rant. The only difference is, I'd have been less likely to go for the easy putdown and would have zeroed in on the 'Woot, defend a druggie with more money than sense who doesn't care if you live or die yay!' vein.

YMMV, and perhaps I'm just kneejerking a bit because it often feels like any time one is part of a minority group, we either have to be supportive or silent even if they're acting stupid, or else we're at best sabotauging and at worse traitorious because there's so many others lining up to take a swing not on the merits of any given thing, but because of inclusion in said group.

I don't think all fags need to like or support all other fags. Sometimes someone just rubs you the wrong way. That doesn't excuse what Fox did, which was sickening, but I reserve the right to be flat-out irritated by anyone I like and to vehemently express that irritation, no matter what their sexual orientation may be.

I agree, but gay bloggers that rag on a guy because he's too femmy for their comfort zone are as much big assholes as Fox News.
16th-Sep-2007 05:11 am (UTC) - Re: Go get them Chris!
I don't see why gay bloggers should be prevented from or chastised for ragging on whomever they choose, for whatever reason they choose - unlike the news media, which is at least ostensibly assumed to maintain some semblance of impartiality, bloggers have always been big on speaking their minds and not mincing words on their opinions.

If someone thinks that kid's mannerisms are fucking obnoxious, I don't blame them for saying so, and I don't think it makes them any more assholes than when they criticize frat guys or republicans.

He has really pretty eyes.
15th-Sep-2007 07:43 pm (UTC)
Wow, been out of the loop. So making fun of people who are different than you is considered news worthy on Fox News. Fox News is inexcusable. Did you see the footage of their broadcast? It's also on Youtube.
15th-Sep-2007 07:59 pm (UTC)
Uh, yeah... While I agree that Fox's homophobia knows no bounds and their so-called reporting is just as shite in this case as usual, I think there could be a more dignified, effective and graceful response than this catty, puerile, teen-angsty venom-spitting. This is a quart too "I know you are, but what am I?" to earn any of my esteem.
15th-Sep-2007 09:01 pm (UTC)
He's the cutest thing. Seriously. Like a little Gelfling or something. He looks like one of the girls from Canada's Next Top Model. And, really, he's got a nice voice. I think it bites that he's been excoriated for his dorky but emo video and Fox News needs to... well. Nevermind. I think this response was all they deserved -- no more thought need be given to them.
15th-Sep-2007 10:29 pm (UTC)
I think it's cute he can scream bloody murder, rend his blouse and screech like a shanked cat about Britney Spears on a worldwide public forum, and then be pissed off that FOX news mocks him for acting like one of those distressed heroines that need a slap in a 1950's action serial.

Guess what: yer a bit effeminate! Ok, not a bit, a whole lot! Yer a big huge satine bag of effeminacy.

Sure, it was douchey for FOX to poke fun at you, but gimme a break.. the rest of us are doing it to you as well. TV sure sucks when it doesn't go your way, but I didn't see you whining with that CNN interview, or all the other news programs that gave you a ring to talk about your histrionics.

Suck it up, little lady. If you're going to put yourself out there, you're gonna get it both ways.. good and bad.
16th-Sep-2007 06:22 am (UTC) - Heh

I'm betting that CNN didn't make fun of his adam's apple or call him "he/she" during that interview.

Speak for your self Rambo. Like I said in an earlier comment, Fox News doesn't have the market cornered on assholes.
16th-Sep-2007 12:02 pm (UTC) - Re: Heh
You really *must* tell me what fluffy happy fun-time gumdrop puppy and unicorn planet you live on, where shrieking shemales who cry over Britney Spears ARENT mocked for a variety of reasons.

*snorts*
18th-Sep-2007 11:43 pm (UTC) - Re: Heh
Pardon my intrusion, but it's one thing to make fun of someone who has very little life in the private sphere, or in the artistic sphere, in both of those a person is relatively exempt from good taste.

However, for an organization to claim itself as a news outlet and then make ad hominem their primary attack is rather shameful. This isn't the first despicable thing I've seen from Fox News and I know it won't be the last, but I do wish the network world would limit itself to real news rather than broadcasting the ramblings of an attention whore with nothing better to devote his time to a ridiculous excuse for a 'performer'. Why result to attacking the man when his argument has no substance to begin with?

I would argue that everyone in this country should try sharpening his or her tastes so that Britney, Fox News, and pathetic youtube happenings are no longer considered the pinnacle of entertainment or information.
18th-Sep-2007 11:53 pm (UTC) - Re: Heh
I just realized how old this is. Sorry.
15th-Sep-2007 10:29 pm (UTC)
Well, all I can say is, if you want to post videos of yourself on Youtube, where EVERYBODY can see it, and it becomes Public Domain, then you get what you ask for. YOu want people to see you act like a drama queen because you feel it is the best way to defent Britney Spears? Gor for it. Just be prepared to accept the ramifications. Hell, I don't see a reason to be offended just because you put yourself out on the internet TO BE SEEN, and when you get seen by the public ON A NEWS STATION, you should feel even better about yourself because your message is reaching a bigger audience. It's what you wanted, right? RIght. Take your lithium, listen to some My Chemical Romance, smear some lipstick on your pouty lips, and cry your peroxide-bleached head to sleep on your Bratz pillow.
15th-Sep-2007 11:00 pm (UTC)
I am SO glad I confine my fan-related ramblings to paper (or screen, as it were) under a pseudonym, is all I gotta say .....
16th-Sep-2007 12:04 am (UTC)
I just don't understand why anyone (especially a supposed news station) could possibly care this much about Britney Spears fan ramblings or a youtube video. Since I was out of the loop about it, I watched the Fox news clip on youtube, and what the fuck was with all the blatent homophobia on national TV (is that a guy or a girl? He's wearing mascara!! Gasp!)? Have you never seen an effeminate man before you assholes? And the oh-so-obvious American anti-Bin Laden rhetoric, that was laughable.
17th-Sep-2007 04:44 pm (UTC)
Faux news is a bunch of douchebags. while Crocker is a loser media whore living off his grandparents , Faux news really has no room to talk.
