Perhaps my mediciine is working overtime and I'm feeling overly optemtistic, but what the hell? Things you "cannot do"? Cannot? How about "will not"? You can *do* anything--whether you *choose* to is another matter entirely. It makes us feel more in control to hold onto grudges. We choose not to let them go. And as for compromising principles? Everyone compromises them now and again, and then justs adds an amendment to said principle in the footnote. Rarely is anything black-and-white. Thoughts?

I didn't make the shit up, I just blindly followed - besides, what's it to ya?

I agree with the philosophy on holding grudges. I suppose in a way the compromise in principles is rather a constantly evolving thing, not to say that the compromises in any way are indicative of a reconsideration in the principle itself, but more a reevaluation on how different variables might be subject to more scrutiny. Or something.

The whole black and white thing is wierd for me, I'm constantly conflicted between my thing about absolutes and my thing about "there's right and there's wrong", blah blah blah, ad infinitum.

I answered this on my journal. Here's the link.

Some of it was hard. I read 600 to 800 words a minute but haven't read for years due to back pain sitting up so I couldn't remember off hand my favorite books other than those listed. And movies I watch so many and have so many I love it was hard to keep it down.

It was interesting!

Hugs, Christina
