Attention Geeks!

Please take a gander at this post my fiance made earlier and see if you may be of any assistance. Work is REALLY stressing him out, which in turn stresses ME out, and with everything else I have going on this is NOT A. GOOD. THING. Please? I'll be your BFF if you would....

Well, I've added my 2 cents' worth. Hope it helped...

Thank you very much. I'm thinking it will. When I read the code it makes perfect sense and I like how simple it is. I posted the question to a scripting community on LJ and the responses I've gotten are REALLY complicated to someone that doesn't know scripting. I'm still waiting on my UNIX admin (who's in Tempe, AZ) to let me know what he thinks about it. I'm excited to have him install it so I can try it out...

I read the first line and was like "WTF?" I'm computer-tarded.

In other news, how are you liking that James Frey book? I want to get it and read it after hearing him talk on Oprah. He's just so damn cool and realistic and down-to-earth BUT I've never really been addicted to anything so I dont know if I'll be able to relate. Please share your wisdom!

It's absolutely incredible, possibly the best account of the nightmare of addiction and recovery since Jerry Stahl's Permanent Midnight. Having been where both of these guys were in various ways, I can honestly say that they don't hold anything back in their recounting of being strung out. Now granted I personally got clean long before I got as out of control as they did, but it's still a slave-to-substance mentality. If you've never been addicted to anything before, these books provide excellent insight - you'll understand it in fundamental ways. DEFININTELY read oth of these books!
