AOL = DEAD TO US!!!

DEAD, YOU HEAR ME??

DEAAAAAAAD!!!

They've been billing us for 2 accounts since April of last fucking year. When Maggie called to complain about this and see what could be done, the customer service fuckrag that she had to deal with was not ONLY rude as hell to her, at several points taunting her, but refused to give his extension #, last name (first name was Robert - Robert the Wondercunt) and would not transfer the call to his supervisor. She asked at least 20 times, each time he refused.

She's called the credit card company and they can only dispute up to 2 months ago, so she's going to do that. We're cancelling AOL today and writing seriously scathing letters to the company.

Here's what I need from ALL of my LJ friends:

If anyone knows the most effective way to end service with AOL, let me know what you did. I'm wary of dealing with them over the phone and it cannot be done online.

If anyone knows anyone who works for AOL, or the correct people to contact over their rude ass employees, let me know.

This shit is not over, and I ain't HARDLY bullshitting...

I had AOL..I cancelled because the service was a piece of shit. Anyways, I didn't have a problem cancelling except that the guy I called was begging me not to cancel and offering me all this free stuff. I declined, though, b/c we had Knology cable modem. Good luck in the battle against the evil AOL.

Ugghhh....AOL. I'ts the bane of my existance. We have run into the same type of problems. It's very frustrating, and unfortunately, there isn't alot that can be done. We were weak and finally gave up. Hope you do better...

P.S. are you still checking the Sugarland page???

do you have any cancellation numbers? (jeff was asking.) if you do, you can prove you cancelled it.

actually, i DO know someone who DID work for aol, until they got laid off- JUST BEFORE XMAS. i've always hated AOHell.

you can also try to call the credit card company, explain the situation to them, and see if they'll do a charge back. shit, it's not like you are getting any service.

my deepest sympathies to you.i'll talk to my friend, see if he can tell me who would be best to talk to, otherwise.
