So Sweet.

A rather amorous locust has landed outside ourwindow and has begun singing rather loudly. I love that sound, it makes me happy. I choose to believe that he somehow knew I needed that andchose to sing to me just for a little bit, just to give me a little happy.

So thank you, Mr. Locust.

I used to HATE that sound as a kid, as it meant that back to school was not too far away. I hear it now, and it's one of the most beautiful sounds I can ever imagine hearing.

Amazing what time will do.

It's always been special to me. Now that I'm older, it is that much moreso.

Makes me a bit homesick for Oklahoma to think of that sound-- Dozens of them singing all over the neighborhood, so it almost sounds like echoes.

I would be most happy to trade this sound for the sound of the trains that go by here every night. :)

There's one in my garage as we speak.

Driving me fucking crazy.

NO FREAKIN WAY!!!!! We don't have those around here. In fact, until now, I thought they were pretty much restricted to the middle east... O.o

Glad it made you a little (more) happy. :)

What a lovely thought and attitude. That is way better than "I am going to hunt down that noisy @#*()@$& and smash it. SMASH. SMASH."
