For the second time in 20 minutes, the tornado warning sirens have gone off. Not to worry, we're in a safe location. It's gonna be a LOOOOONG night, but I'm loving the storm view from our ginormous windows!

Did I mention that even though the wind and rain are louder than hell, D is sound asleep? Our bedroom is in the safest area of the loft (center of the building), so worse case scenario still looks good for us.

Don't worry about us, we're all good. Part of this building was hit in the middle 70's by an F3 tornado, all it did was clean the brick facade off a little. It's over 150 years old, the outside walls are over a foot thick of concrete and brick.

And given your location, that is a travesty.

It was nothing, seriously - in these parts, bad storms are BAAAAAD. This was a tinkerbell of a storm all things considered.

I woke up once and thought, "Hmph. It's thundering." Then I went back to sleep. I didn't know it was like THAT.

I enjoyed it, but rain always makes me sleepy. I managed to watch from our top floor windows until the last big cell passed over, then went to bed. It did hail for about 10 minutes, but it was relatively small.

Wait, wait, is it April already??

Uh, yeah.

Know where I was when all this shit was going on?

About 4 beers under at the Sports Page...

Had to stop drinking and wait out the rain because it was horrible, and even though I didn't even have a buzz, I was NOT risking the conditions. It was SO bad out there...scary stuff.

And the one thing that DID wake me up? Someone opening the blinds so they could watch the storm. ;-)
